From MMoCA’s Gallery Night to WORTstock and more, there are tons of great community-centered celebrations happening this weekend.

MMoCA’s Gallery Night is Back!
 Date: Fri, May 16th | Join in on a community-wide celebration of Madison’s art scene this Friday by hitting up free galleries all over the city for MMoCA’s gallery night! Whether you’re deep in the Madison art scene or just like checking out what this vibrant community is up to, this is a great way to spend an evening. |
Get Loud in the Library
 Date: Sat, May 17th | Hit the Madison Central Library, or any neighborhood library, this Saturday to celebrate Madison Public Library’s 150th Anniversary! There will be something for all ages, from a mini parade with the Forward Marching Band to library trivia and tours. So bring the whole family and celebrate the beauty and history of Madison’s Public Library system. |
Bust a Move!
 Date: Sat, May 17th | Seriously, who doesn’t love dancing the night away to some ABBA? There will be plenty of great tunes from ABBA, The Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Cher, and more great artists from the 70s and 80s. So take a chance… on this great disco night at the Majestic this weekend. 🪩 |
Comic Con in Madison!
 Date: Sun, May 18th | Madison’s Comic Con takes place this weekend, and there will be plenty to see and do for fans of all sorts of things, from Power Rangers to tabletop gaming. With hundreds of vendors, guests, and cosplay events, there’s sure to be something great that catches your eye, or takes your fandom to the next level. |
Like Woodstock, but Local!
 Date: Sun, May 18th | We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again - community media rocks! That of course includes WORT, which is hosting WORTstock 2025 this weekend. It will be a great event with a stacked lineup of performers, food and drink, craft vendors, and more. Check it out and celebrate the start of the summer music festival season, a staple in our community! |
